HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WORKOUT?

⚫ Everyone is different there is not right or wrong answer here. I would say for the first two weeks start out with 3 days. See how your body feels. The next two weeks do 4 days a week (if your schedule allows for it).

HOW LONG SHOULD I WORKOUT?

⚫ If you only have 10-15 minutes that is better than nothing. Try to workout in the morning for 10-15 minutes and evening for 10-15 minutes. Slowly work up to a routine of 30-45 minute workout or keep it split.

HOW DO YOU CREATE LEAN MUSCLES?

⚫ The process it take to become lean is an over time process. How dedicated are you? Do you know when to eat and what your body needs after a workout? This is where you will create your leanness. (Weight training is involved in this.)

DO I HAVE TO LIFT HEAVY?

⚫ First let me ask what is heavy to you? Have you ever lifted heavy? So you want to slowly go up in weight and before you know it you are lifting heavier than you thought you would.

WHAT TRAINING SHOULD I DO TO LOSE WEIGHT?

⚫ Everyone is different so we have to figure out what is best for your body and what it reacts too. So that might be CrossFit, or cardio with weight training, or just full body workouts with no weights yet.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE A DAY OFF?

⚫ Your body will tell you but if you are working your body part once a week then you don’t need to work that part again till next week. (Unless you have a different goal that we can talk about.) Your body should be sore but not too sore so make sure you are getting what your body is needing before and after a workout.

WHAT ABOUT STRETCHING?

⚫ People are different with this one. Some feel they need to stretch before and others swear by only after. I do mine after working out. I did static stretching which is holding for 5 minutes and also active stretching which is going in and out of a stretch to gain movement.

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT SORENESS?

⚫ The best thing to do is eat what your body needs before and after a workout this is going to help with the soreness.

HOW LONG TILL I SEE RESULTS?

⚫ This is different for everyone. Did you stick to a lifestyle change? Eating clean and working out daily you will see results within a few weeks. Be sure to take before and after photos to help see your progress and throw away that scale!

WHAT IS THE BEST DIET?

⚫ There is no best diet out there. There is a best lifestyle change for you! That means figuring out what your body likes and doesn’t like. Knowing this takes time is in scientific! So when you get a nutritionist and they keep testing things don’t worry they are doing their job. Once you have it figure out that should be the track you stay on. Don’t worry about the fad diets!!

  1. This is super helpful information! I am looking to get back into the gym after an extended break due to Covid, and will be starting from scratch!

    1. Sorry I wasn’t clear about that in the answer. I would start out with 3 workouts a week. Move up every two weeks with one more day a week. Then safely workout 5 days a week from then on. 🙂
